"Drives It Home" by Gregg Koval (Rock Artist from Canada)

Gregg Koval has blasted out another great rock CD "Drives It Home." Packed with edgy, guitar driven rock and funky blues, Koval keeps the beat moving and grooving. His vocals are right on the mark and capture the essence of this style of music. "Plenty Enough to Go Around" and "Take What You Need" equally show off the funky and bluesy side of this album. There is also a nice melodic guitar riff on "Wasting the Day Away", with its catchy rhythmic run. Koval has a special talent for making his lyrics fun, as is heard on the song "Alien To Me." Fans of Joe Walsh will definitely appreciate "Drives It Home", a fun CD with energetic rock tunes and rock solid guitar solos.

"Bolo!" by Swaha (Spiritual Artist from Ontario, Canada)

Did you ever just want to pop in a relaxing CD at the end of a long day? If so, Swaha's newest CD "Bolo!" is a great choice to soothe your soul. Taking hints of Indian mantras and spiritual music, Swaha does a magnificent job with their newest disc. Vocalists Dave Stringer and Tara MacLean serve up some excellent performances on this CD. The balance of Dave's vocal tone with Tara's angelic pitch is easy on any listener's ears. As for the music, the raga flare sets the mood for some beautiful sounds on songs like "Shiva Manas Puja" and "Jaya Ram Shri Ram." Another great feature of "Bolo!" is the pop sound that is delivered on many of the songs including "Govinda Gopala." Swaha has taken the mantra/Indian genres to a whole different level, fusing India's musical roots with traditional pop instrumentation. "Bolo!" is a perfect listen for anyone who enjoys Indian music fused with spiritual and uplifting textures.

"MPH" by The Yohawks (Pop Artist from Ontario, Canada)

"MPH" by The Yohawks is a terrific throwback to the 60's R&B with a touch of smooth rock. As a band, their sound is extremely tight and features a strong and well balanced brass section, an element very much missing in current bands. In addition to The Yohawks musicianship, their Motown influenced vocal melodies really shine on this disc and add that distinct "Detroit sound" to "MPH." Stand out songs like "Never Let Go" and "She's Gone" makes the best connection to that familiar 60's R&B sound we all know and love. At first listen "Never Let Go" sounds reminiscent of the group Chicago and the horn section compliments the polished and mature vocals quite well. "She's Gone" is a catchy tune with lyrics that may make you think of a lady you once let get away. Anyone who is a follower of Otis Redding or Chicago will very much enjoy this CD. The sound quality is very professional and evokes those classic tones that we all want to hear back in the mainstream radio days.
